Glittery candy corn nails

Ok, so here is my very first tutorial on this blog! Woho. This is going to be all about how to make your nails look like yummy candy corn for Halloween.

1. First gather up your supplies and ready your work space. I am using a shade of mat yellow by Playboy, a seasonal orange I got at Rite-aid, an A.S.P. manicure pen (which I will be providing a review of in a later post) and  L.A splash cosmetic glitter in sandy beach. You will also need some clear base coat and a fine tipped paintbrush.

 2. Start with clean nails covered with a few coats of clear base. Then apply yellow nail polish in as many coats as it takes to have a strong, opaque, color. Always remember to allow polish to dry between coats.

3. Once you are satisfied with the yellow add a few coats of orange over it, leaving approximately 1/4 inch of yellow exposed.

4.  Next add white to approximately 1/4 inch of the very tips of the nails.

5. Warning do this step over a piece of paper!
Finally take your paintbrush and dip it into the clear coat, draw a thin line of clear coat between the orange and yellow. Quickly take the glitter and tap it on to your nail. Allow to dry for a moment and then tap/wipe off the excess.

Tada! Now you have lovely, glittery, candy corn nails! Just make sure no one tries to eat them. (bad joke I know)

Hope you all enjoyed this, now go and have a happy Halloween season.
